CADT (Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology) aims to be a national flagship research and education institution for digital development and innovation within Cambodia. Previously known as NIPTICT (National Institute of Posts, Telecoms & ICT), the organization underwent a rebranding and expansion in 2020. Along with this shift in vision & mission, the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology has also split into three subordinate institutes, IDG (Institute of Digital Governance), IDRI (Institute of Digital Research and Innovation), and IDT (Institute of Digital Technology).
We were tasked to create a new identity system for the academy that would unify all the different sub-brands under one consistent brand architecture. Early on, we realized that due to the flexible nature of each entity and program, it was almost impossible to enforce any naming schemes or writing system.
As a response to this, we developed a custom typeface named CADT Mono Display to be used as a logo system for all the entities under the academy. The modular nature of the typeface gives a strong sense of structure to the academy, enabling the academy to be more efficient and consistent when creating brand identities for its various sub-brands, programs, and events.
Alongside CADT Mono Display, we also introduce a more vibrant color system, Khmer and Latin typeface, iconography system, social media templates, and brand identity guidelines. The new identity system can grow and evolve with the academy and highlight its size and impact.
